First FL trip of the year

We are committed! We have committed to making more memories this year since last year was so ...blah! So FL was our first real, planned trip this year that wasn't just a "road trip" and we headed to Daytona beach bike week. This was our first time and I wasn't sure what to expect but I was new and exciting! Would I do it again, I don't think so...but it was worth the first experience. Whenever we travel with the girls we try to incorporate a homeschool moment, so because we were close, we carved out time for St. Augustine which is the nation's oldest city. Being a history buff, this part of the trip was amazing to me!! With the history of the settlers being of Spanish and French descent, the Spanish and French cuisine is plentiful. Talk about a foodies heaven 😍😍. Of course food is important to us whenever we travel so we also put Top Chef season 8's winner Chef Kenny Gilbert's restaurant in Jacksonville. This was a great way to start our travels this year.
